The More TV I Watch, The Angrier I Get

OK, first off: "Norbit" is at the top of the North American box office. Eddie Murphy goes back to the fat-suit well. I'm sorry, I meant "Academy Award Nominee" Eddie Murphy. My bad. Speaking of which, the Oscars are coming up on February the 25th. I'll be continuing my annual tradition of visiting a couple of fine friends of mine (and their daughter and dog) . I will predict the winners incorrectly, as I always do (save for last year's "Crash" upset).

Annoying television sexism: "A recent study has shown that the thoughts of the male brain are divided as follows: 50% Beer, 49$ Professional Wrestling and 1% Remembering Valentine's Day."

Hoo Boy! They sure have my gender pegged! There's nothing I like better than a cold brewski while I watch WWE on February 14th. Good times, good times. All thanks to my Y chromosome.

since it takes me forever to open one of these windows on this insanely slow computer, i will post only the one time.

i think i went to see the winterlude ice sculptures once, back in my younger years, when i was forced to, and remember also thinking that there were too many non-ice/winter themed sculptures. didn't make sense to me. although, i have always secretly wanted to check out that hotel that is made entirely of ice - wouldn't want to stay there though.

the penguins are adorable.

and as for t.v. sexism, i'm right there with you. that's one of the many reasons why i hate "the family guy" - not only are the men ridiculously stereotypical and stupid, but it's no great compliment to the woman either - her concerns are always trivial and domestic, and centred around "being the one who cares too much", while he has to be "the one that doesn't care at all". it's lame. and THAT is one of the many reasons that you and i succeed as a couple - we don't play into that crap. good for us.

also, i lurve you.
